The Science Behind Nasal Strips:
Your nose is divided into two passageways (nostrils). Each nostril narrows to an internal nasal valve, which is only about 1/10” wide. The air funnels through these spaces when you breathe; if they’re blocked, you have to breathe through your mouth. Nasal strips widen the nasal valves, helping you to breathe by physically easing open the cartilage walls.
The proper use of nasal strips can help you sleep better by easing snoring, nasal congestion caused by a cold or allergies, and issues caused by a deviated septum.
Nasal strips can also help make exercise more efficient by increasing the amount of air you can take in with each breath.
PERSONAL NOTE:
I tested the quality of these before offering them for sale, and was VERY
pleasantly surprised! I prepared my face properly – using peroxide to
remove all the oil from my nose (rubbing alcohol is recommended, but I
didn’t have any) — and wore one of these for
fifteen hours
before finally having to remove it so I could leave the house; there was no lifting or falling off before removal. It DID allow me to breathe better — and I never even thought I had an issue with that. It could be just psychological, but I swear I had more energy the next day than I had had for a while. I was surprised a better airflow was that effective; evidently, those dedicated nasal strip users are really onto something!)
